About
our CPR and First Aid Training
We
provide American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR and First Aid classes in Indianapolis,
Indiana and surrounding areas. We strive to create a comfortable environment for
a positive training experience. By combining a variety of teaching methods, our
students succeed and feel confident when they leave our training center. The proceeds
from each CPR class help AYS fulfill its mission to enrich the "learning
and well-being of children in a safe, caring and fun environment outside of the
school day."
Our
clients include: daycare providers, local businesses and hotels, parents and grandparents,
teachers, college students, camp counselors, nannies, and foster parents.

About
Our Instructors and Teaching Methods
Our
CPR and First Aid instructors are certified through the American
Heart Association. Our courses include a combination of teaching methods including
video presentation, mannequin practice and skills demonstration check-off.
Course
Descriptions & Fees
Course
fee covers book, instruction, course completion card(s). Course completion cards are valid
for two years from date of class.
- CPR
and First Aid - Both classes combined for a better deal. $50.00/person
- CPR
only - All CPR classes include Adult, Child and Infant CPR. Includes recognition
and response techniques for choking victims (Heimlich Maneuver). Also includes
discussion and use of face shields. $40.00/person
- First
Aid only - Information for the lay rescuer on how to respond to illnesses
and injuries until professional help arrives. Includes Universal Precautions training
on the use of gloves, goggles, hand washing, and proper disposal of contaminated
materials. $25.00/person
- Pediatric
First Aid only - Information
for the lay rescuer on how to respond to illnesses and injuries in children until
professional help arrives. Includes Universal Precautions training on the use
of gloves, goggles, hand washing, and proper disposal of contaminated materials.
$25.00/person
- CPR, First Aid + AED - *(note: attendees must sign up for all three components in order to attend this class.) Includes everything covered in CPR and First Aid plus training in the use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
Includes recognition and response techniques for heart attack, stroke and choking
victims. Also includes discussion and use of barrier devices including face shields & pocket masks. $60.00/person
Host
a Training at Your Site
Interested
in bringing training to your site? We have worked with many organizations to coordinate
on site classes. A DVD player & TV is required. Six person minimum.
Our
Location
The
Professional Development Center is located at 4755 Kingsway Drive, Suite 300,
Indianapolis, IN. We are near the intersection of 46th Street and Keystone Avenue

Payment
& Cancellation Policy
Payment is due on
or before your scheduled class date. A $15 late fee will be applied to payments
not received by the due date. Cards will not be issued until payment has been
received. We accept payment by cash, check, money order, Mastercard and Visa.
If you intend to pay by credit card you must first complete an authorization form
(available upon request).
Due
to the high volume of requests we receive, you must give at least 24 hours
cancellation notice if you will be unable to attend a class. If we do not
receive this notice, you will be charged for the cost of the class. Please plan
on arriving by designated class start time. Students arriving later than 15 minutes
after class starts must reschedule to another class. If you miss 3 or more classes
you will be asked to seek certification at a different location at your own expense.
