PeyBack Foundation to Help Support Camp AYS
Leslie Hankins

AYS received $5,000 from the PeyBack Foundation to support this year’s Camp AYS. AYSwas one of 28 organizations in Indiana and 12 organizations in Tennessee to receive funds from the PeyBack Foundation. The foundation was founded in 1999 by Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning.

Camp AYS’ 2006 theme will be “Fun in the Sun.” Campers will have the opportunity to go on field trips, participate in small group activities, and go swimming. Campers will also participate in arts & crafts, sports, science, and nature. Each week of camp will focus on a different theme. The goals of Camp AYS are to teach campers “The Three R’s of Camp” (Respect, Responsibility, and Resolving Conflict), how to explore new adventures and outdoor experiences, how to make and keep friends, how to discuss mistakes and fears, and how to have fun safely.
