Raise Funds for Local Non-Profit
The
AYS Diva Fashion Extravaganza at Oak Hill Mansion on March 8 raised over $9,000
for the AYS Financial Assistance Fund. The Fund allows AYS, Inc., a non-profit
agency, to grant scholarships to families in need of its programs. The luncheon
included a womens and childrens fashion show and a silent auction.
AYS (At Your School)
operates before- and after-school, kindergarten and early childhood programs throughout
central Indiana. The school-age programs give children a safe, enriching place
to go during the out-of-school hours, while the early childhood programs give
children the educational base needed to successfully begin kindergarten. AYS depends
on government funding and the generous donations of individuals and corporations
in order to serve families who can not afford the service, while maintaining a
high level of quality in its programming.
Clifton
Gunderson LLP, FORUM Credit Union, Ice Miller, The National Bank of Indianapolis,
Nefouse and Associates, Inc. and Sharp Solutions sponsored the event. Clothing
and accessories for the adult models were provided by Lillys Boutique of
Zionsville, while JCPenneys outfitted the children.
