AYS
Responds to Hurricane Katrina
Our
thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by Hurricane Katrina. AYS will provide
after-school care assistance to children who have relocated to the Indianapolis
area due to this devastating storm.
Students
in AYS programs have responded to the ranging needs of those affected by the hurricane.
Crooked Creek, Hazel Dell, Forest Hill, Lynwood, IPS 91 and IPS 106 KG programs
are participating in collections including clothing, money, and school supplies.
Students at Eastwood Middle School will be pen pals for new students in Indianapolis
displaced by the hurricane and children in the IPS 92 K+ program are making cards
to send to families.
