Hinkle Creek AYS Presents "Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show"
-Leslie Hankins

Bandits, villains, gun-slingers and horses filled Hinkle Creek Elementary’s mini theater on May 3. Hinkle Creek’s AYS program held two performances of Craig Sodaro’s “Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show” for AYS families and friends.

The students spent several months preparing for the four act, variety show style play, including learning their lines and creating the set. “Buffalo Bill” introduced each scene-- a self-defense lesson from “Annie Oakley,” a performance of “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad” by the railroad quartet, a look inside the watering hole featuring “Calamity Jane,” and the attempted robbery of a stagecoach. The play coincided with the program’s “Wild West” theme.
