American Heart Association CPR and First Aid Classes in Central Indiana
We provide American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR and First Aid classes in Indianapolis, Indiana, and surrounding areas. We strive to create a comfortable environment for a positive training experience. By combining a variety of teaching methods, our students succeed and feel confident when they leave our training center. The proceeds from each CPR class help AYS fulfill its mission to enrich the “learning and well-being of children in a safe, caring and fun environment outside of the school day.”
Our clients include daycare providers, local businesses and hotels, parents and grandparents, teachers, college students, camp counselors, nannies, and foster parents. Our Heartsaver CPR course meets the Indiana State teaching license requirements. Please join us!

ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTORS & LOCATION
All of our CPR and First Aid instructors are certified by the American Heart Association. Our courses include video presentation, instructor assistance, manikin practice, discussion, and skills demonstration check-off. Unless specified otherwise, all classes will be held at AYS Professional Development Center. The Professional Development Center is located at 4701 N. Keystone Ave., Suite 475, Indianapolis, IN. We are near the intersection of 46th Street and Keystone Avenue in the CICOA building. Free parking available.

COURSE DESCRIPTION, FEES AND SCHEDULE
Course fee includes American Heart Association book and course completion card(s). Cards are issued the same day as class. Course completion cards are valid for two years from date of class (renewal requirements may vary by job requirements). Student workbooks are issued on the day of class unless otherwise requested.
Heartsaver First Aid & CPR with AED ($60/person)
Heartsaver First Aid ($35/person)

Heartsaver Online Course Skills Verification ($20/person)
The American Heart Association’s Heartsaver First Aid & CPR course is designed to meet all OSHA regulations. The First Aid modules include lessons on Universal Precautions, poisoning, shock, seizures, bleeding and choking rescue. The CPR section includes instruction on AEDs (automated external defibrillator) and the proper use of masks for adult. CPR for children and infants is included.
The Pediatric course covers all topics listed above. Additionally, course participants will learn about recognizing and reporting child abuse and car safety.
AYS also offers the skills verification for the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver online courses. Participants must practice and demonstrate first aid and CPR skills to receive the course completion card. To participate, you must present a valid online certificate from AHA for these Heartsaver courses.
This session (parts 2 & 3 of the online course) is offered at 3:00 pm on every scheduled class date. To register, select the class date, and then indicate that you need to complete the online course. You may also call to schedule an appointment. Cost is $20 per person.
