Mission and Values

“We may not be able to prepare the future for our children, but we can at least prepare our children for the future.” -Franklin D. Roosevelt

AYS enriches the learning and well-being of children in a safe, caring and fun environment outside of the school day.

AYS will become the program of choice for families and schools in central Indiana. The welfare of the children we serve, their families and the community will be supported through our excellent youth programs and the strong leadership of the AYS organization.

AYS values respect, responsibility and commitment in all our relationships with children, families, staff, schools, religious institutions and the community. We live up to these values by:

  • Focusing on Children and Families
  • Providing Excellent Programs
  • Developing Individual Potential
  • Building and Nurturing Positive Relationships

Did You Know?

AYS’ first program started with fewer than ten children. Today, we serve over 1,900 children through the school year and 500 through the summer.  Parent surveys demonstrate that 89% of parents feel AYS enriches their child’s learning, 98% feel their child enjoys going to AYS, and 99% are more focused at work because they are not worrying about their child.  To learn more, please view our 2014-2015 Annual Report.
