What is your educational background?

I have an Associate’s Degree from Vincennes University, a Bachelor’s Degree from IUPUI, and I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social Work at Indiana Wesleyan University!

What professional experience do you have?

I have 20 years of Social Service/Work experience in different roles. I started off as a Professional Mentor working with youth and families in IPS in 2001. Since then I have worked in treatment facilities for youth as well as group homes, Kids Peace foster care agency, Atterbury Job Corps as a dorm supervisor, Choices Inc (wraparound services), Center Director for after school programs, Behavior Specialist at Urban Act Academy, Father Engagement Specialist, and have served as a Dean of Students. Each position has allowed me to grow professionally from being a front line staff member to working in management, and every role was significantly important! These roles allowed me to serve and identify barriers in the lives of youth/ families while being creative in helping them overcome those barriers.

What are some fun facts about you, or favorite things you like to do?

I am all into serving the Lord and being actively involved in my family. I enjoy amusement parks and playing in the 40 and Over Men’s fast pitch baseball league during the summer (I still got it)!!!! 😁
