What is your educational background?
I have a degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University, as well as an endorsement for History and Social Studies.
What professional experience do you have?
I was a classroom teacher at Washington Township in Indianapolis. I worked as an Operations Manager for Junior Achievement of Chicago where I did volunteer recruitment/training and fundraising as well as the Director or Education for Junior Achievement of Central Indiana where I oversaw operations of all education programs and fundraising. I was also a Community Impact Manager/ReadUP Program Manager for United Way of Central Indiana where I did volunteer training and oversight of all education initiatives.
What experience do you have working with children?
I have worked as a classroom teacher, tutor, and Girl Scout Leader. I also have experience raising one on my own!
What are some fun facts about you, or favorite things you like to do?
I love to travel to northern Michigan with family. I am on the planning committee for neighborhood historic home tour, and I love doing historical research on homes/architecture. I am a big advocate for historic preservation! I also love being a parent.
